How a front-lawn consult with a neighbour revealed a sinister disease
A Neighbour, Tina, pulled up outside my house in her old 4WD, kids clambering about in the back.
As she walked towards me I noticed she had a duck tucked under one arm. It was not unexpected: I had admired the bird at the local agricultural show and offered to buy her.
I handed over the money as Tina transferred the sleek creature. “I‘ll take care of her,” I said.
“Yeah, I know it.” She turned to go and then asked, “Could you give me an X-ray form for Tom. For his legs?”
Right. “Have you seen your
