Internship cuts may cause graduate exodus

An audit by the National Medical Intern Data Management Working Group of offers received so far indicates about 240 foreign-born Australian graduates will miss out on state or territory positions in 2015.

“If these students don’t find internships they will go overseas and they won’t come back,” said Australian Medical Students’ Association president Jessica Dean. “Australia will lose those doctors.”
