Lung checks urged in new campaign

GPs are being urged to ask their patients to do lung 'self checks' to help raise awareness for conditions such as COPD.

In a new media campaign, Lung Foundation Australia is urging Australians to do a lung self assessment as a part of a national awareness program.

The three-month ‘Check in with Your Lungs’ media campaign prompts people to take the Lung Health Checklist online.

Lung Foundation Australia’s Heather Allan said GPs and healthcare professionals play a vital role in the early diagnosis and referral of patients with suspected lung disease.
