Morality and the mega rich
It's not a stretch for Richard Gere to play smooth and charming. In Arbitrage he’s all that and more.
As mega-rich hedge fund manager Robert Miller, he celebrates his 60th birthday with wife Ellen (Sarandon) and family, including his daughter Brooke (Brit Marling), who works as his accountant. He blows out the candles with the help of the younger members of the party, makes a speech about the value of family, and then ducks out, with the excuse of pressing business, to see his mistress (Casta).
