IT’S A man’s world that we enter in Margin Call, as you might have guessed from the cast list above – and what a fine list it is.
It is the eve of the global financial crisis and there is an unsettled air on the trading floor of an investment bank with views over the skyline of New York. People are being laid off and no one knows who will be next.
Risk analyst Eric Dale (Tucci) gets a knock on his door. Before he leaves, armed with two paltry boxes of possessions, he entrusts a computer file to young Peter Sullivan (Quinto), who opts out of after-work drinks to search through Eric’s file.
