'One million extra hours' of work for GPs

Under the government’s plan, consultations lasting up to nine minutes will only be eligible for a Level A rebate of $11.95, while those lasting 10 minutes will attract a Level B rebate of $32.05. That means while a nine-minute consultation would pay $1.33 per minute, a 10-minute consultation would pay $3.21 per minute.
