“The monitoring of [opioid] medication includes an agreement that the patient receives scripts from only one treating doctor and that they pick up the scripts from one pharmacist [to guard against] doctor shopping and multiple pharmacy use,” said Associate Professor Brendan Moore, dean of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
