Only half of GPs offer after hours care, but same day access good

The University of NSW study found 78.8% of GPs reported that patients could get same day or next day appointments but only 50% said that their patients had access to after hours care.

The study, which compared GP access in 11 OECD countries, found Australia was below the 59% international average for after hours care but above the 72% average for same day and next day access.
