Patient denied doctor statements in HCCC complaint

The family of the patient, Iraklia Pertsinidis, lodged complaints with Wollongong Hospital and the HCCC over her care and treatment at the hospital in May 2012.

Subsequently, she asked for her medical records, but the hospital declined to hand over a file containing five statements made by four doctors which it used in its investigation of the complaint and forwarded to the HCCC.
