PBS lists lowest number of drugs in 20 years

The assertion, from pharmaceutical industry body Medicines Australia, follows the release of a report by Victoria University’s Centre for Strategic Economic Strategies examining the impact of PBS reforms. The report found that in 2011–12 just 15 new medicines were added to the PBS, the lowest number in 20 years. The previous low was recorded in 2005–06 when 18 were added.
