Psychiatrist reprimanded for getting too personal

A PROMINENT NSW psychiatrist has been reprimanded for unsatisfactory professional conduct and subject to strict conditions on his practising certificate for engaging in an overly personal relationship with a patient.  

The Professional Standards Committee alleged Dr Leo van Biene told his patient, dubbed Patient A, that she was sexually attractive, that he desired her and that he had imagined Patient A and himself living together in Hobart, buying a house and sharing a professional practice together.
