RACGP aims to exit immigration list as need for IMGs wanes

THE RACGP has joined doctors’ groups aiming to exit the list of skilled occupations for immigration purposes. 

The college anticipates a continuing decline in reliance on overseas-trained doctors, following the near doubling of new medical student numbers in the past decade.
