Self-education cap freeze fails to sway 75% of MO reader votes

An online poll of 821 Medical Observer readers showed 79.1% were no more likely to vote for the government following the announcement by Treasurer Chris Bowen earlier this month of the deferral of the cap until 1 July 2015.

Just one in five (20.9%) said they were now more likely to vote for the government. 

Almost two-thirds of respondents (64%) said they planned to vote for the Coalition on 7 September. 

Just 16.7% of respondents said they would place Labor first on their ballot card, while the Greens were favoured by 11.4% of respondents.

Almost two weeks into the official campaign period, the coalition was yet to reveal any new health policy initiatives.
