Students get filming for general practice

The winning team was able to draw on second-year medical student Kath Mayer’s knowledge and experience in graphic design, which she gained while completing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in music and design.

Together with her friends Cristina Murphy and Danielle Klingberg she created a fun and evocative short-film called Piece Together Your Future.

Each filmmaker won $1500 by artfully depicting the opportunities offered by a career in general practice.

“The reason I wanted to get into medicine in the first place was to do general practice, and that’s still what I’m interested in at the moment,” Ms Mayer said.
