Supervisors fed up as training crisis looms

A National General Practice Supervisors Association survey of 270 GP supervisors has revealed that only 70% intended to supervise first-year registrars during the next 3–5 years.

Only 62% of supervisors indicated interest in continuing to take on medical students, while GP interest in involvement with the Pre-vocational General Practice Placement Program (PGPPP) was lowest at just 21%.
