TGA to consider banning GPs from prescribing strong opioids


GPs would be banned from prescribing S8 opioids including oxycodone and fentanyl under a proposal flagged by the TGA.

The idea is one of several put forward by the medicine watchdog as it consults on how to address misuse and overdose.
