TGA reviews drug linked to deaths

Manufacturer Janssen has advised Japanese medicos to use paliperidone palmitate with great care, even though it is not known whether the drug caused the deaths.

Myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism and suffocation due to inhalation of vomit were among the causes of death, many of which occurred about 40 days after injections of the drug.
