It included more funding for GPs to teach medical students; more programs to motivate GP registrars to stay rural; mechanisms to reward continuity of care and quality outcomes and to discourage volume-based models of general practice; training pathways and recognition for rural doctors who provide advanced skills services in their communities; and, importantly, changes to the ASGC-RA classification system.
