War should be on antibiotic resistance not recreational drugs

Dr Jonny Anomaly from the department of philosophy, politics and education at Duke University, said use of antibiotics is a ‘collective action problem’ because the more they are used, the greater the problem of antibiotic resistance becomes.

Writing in the Journal of Medical Ethics, he argues narcotics use does not harm others in morally significant ways; rather most of the harm associated with them is caused by enforcing laws that prohibit drug use.
