Yes, I am the doctor

In retrospect, it was naive of me to think that once I started working as a GP, I would stop being mistaken for a nurse.


It happens despite what I would have thought were fairly significant barriers to that particular error being made.

It happened most recently only a few weeks ago. The patient booked an appointment with Dr O’Fallon. I introduced myself as Dr Caitlyn. I was wearing a name badge with my title, and the nameplate on my door also said Dr Caitlyn O’Fallon.

I’m not sure what more I can do to convince people I’m the real deal.
