GP handed 10-year-ban and $20k fine

A FORMER GP who engaged in sexual conduct with patients during hypnotherapy sessions has been fined $20,000 and banned from reapplying for registration for 10 years.

The GP, who worked at a Perth medical centre before surrendering his registration in October, admitted to the conduct at a mediation with the Medical Board earlier this month, and accepted he was guilty of professional misconduct.
