A RULER is a useful adjunct to taking a photo of a severe local reaction to vaccination, the Melbourne Vaccine Information Centre (MVEC) says.
MVEC, a web-based initiative overseen by paediatrician Dr Nigel Crawford from the Royal Children’s Hospital and SAEFVIC, offers instructions for taking optimal photos on a smartphone.
In a poster presentation at the Public Health Association of Australia’s 15th National Immunisation Conference in Brisbane, SAEFVIC’s Victoria Scott said the resource is being used by parents and vaccination providers.
