7 ways transcranial stimulation can be dangerous

Neurologists, psychiatrists and psychologists have endorsed an open letter to doctors and patients warning about the dangers of do-it-yourself transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS).

The letter published in the Annals of Neurology says the therapeutic effects of tDCS remain unknown and there is an “ethical obligation” to draw attention to the potential pitfalls of the technology.
