Alcohol link to bowel cancer confirmed

The more a person drinks, the more prone they are to colorectal adenomas, according to a new meta-analysis that attempts to make sense of inconsistent findings in 25 different reports.

Regular light, moderate or heavy alcohol intake is associated with an overall 17% increased risk of adenoma compared with teetotallers or occasional drinkers, say the researchers from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China
