Androgen deficiency


ANDROGEN deficiency (AD) is the most common hormonal disorder in males, affecting approximately one in 200 men under the age of 60 years. It is also an under-diagnosed condition, as the symptoms and signs may be subtle or non-specific. Detection and treatment of clinically proven androgen deficiency  should be an important goal for the general practitioner as treatment is highly effective in restoring normal sexual, bone and muscle health; as well as in potentially reducing cardiovascular disease
