Antibiotic-warfarin concerns downplayed

Antibiotics have only "minimal" impact on warfarin therapy, according to a new study suggesting this interaction poses very little risk to patients' health.

A "real-world" analysis of 12,000 patients on long-term warfarin found antibiotics were associated with only very small increases in INR — hardly any of which required a dose adjustment.
