Antidepressant no breast barrier

Research presented at the Perinatal Society of Australia and New Zealand Annual Conference in Perth looked at 368 women on antidepressants before conceiving and found those who stayed on their medication (33%) were more successful at maintaining breastfeeding up to and beyond six months, compared to women who stopped their antidepressants (67%) due to concerns about their baby’s health.
