Antipsychotic reduction feasible in aged-care dementia

Alternative approaches to managing dementia behaviours can dramatically cut antipsychotic use, an Australian study has shown.

The Halting Antipsychotic use in Long Term care project (HALT) eliminated regular antipsychotics from the treatment plans of most of the residents involved.
