Are all new cancer drugs 'game-changers'?

Drugs are routinely referred to as “game-changers” or “ground-breaking” in the media even when they have yet to be tested in humans, according to a research letter published in JAMA Oncology.

The researchers used Google News to search for ten superlative terms – such as “revolutionary”, “miracle” or “transformative” – used in conjunction with reports of cancer drugs during one week in June 2015.
