Arthritis an ‘overlooked’ driver of poverty rates

Arthritis is an “overlooked” driver of poverty rates with women bearing the brunt, Australian researchers say.  

Their study of over 4000 Australians with arthritis aged 21 and over shows 18% of women fell into income poverty after they were diagnosed, compared with 16% of men.
