Aspirin warning in diabetes
29th April 2013
The Danish population-based cohort study of 18,000 people with type 2 diabetes, who were free of cardiovascular disease, showed no association between aspirin use and lower risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke or death.

However, those who were taking aspirin had a 20% increased risk of non-fatal and fatal coronary heart disease compared with matched controls who were not taking aspirin.
