Asthma link to early paracetamol use ‘debunked’

While previous studies have suggested prenatal or infancy exposure to the analgesic may cause asthma, Dr Adrian Lowe from the Allergy and Lung Health Unit at the University of Melbourne, said it was more likely the underlying illness itself, and respiratory tract infection (RTI) in particular, that explained the link.
