Aussie cancer drug funding under fire

PHARMAC, the New Zealand equivalent of the PBAC, has been looking across the Tasman to see whether NZ cancer patients are missing out.

In a report comparing cancer medicines in the two nations, PHARMAC says all but one of 22 drugs funded in Australia but not in NZ “offer relatively low, or no evidence of, clinically meaningful benefit.”
