THE number of doctors experiencing aggression in the workplace is increasing, with a quarter of GPs experiencing physical aggression in a year, according to figures published in the Medical Journal of Australia last week.

Some 3500 GPs were surveyed for the research, the first national study of workplace aggression which also covered specialists, registrars and other hospital staff.
