Blood test detects OA before symptoms

UK researchers have developed a new blood test to identify early stage osteoarthritis years before joint damage becomes apparent.

The test identifies chemical signatures in plasma which distinguish osteoarthritis from early stage rheumatoid arthritis and other joint conditions, a study shows.
