Boys with asthma more likely to break bones

An Australian study has found an association between asthma and increased risk of bone fractures in boys. 

The University of Melbourne-led research, the world's largest on the subject, found that boys with recent wheezing were 30-40% more likely to fracture a bone than peers who had not experienced wheezing, independent of age or medication use.
