Brain centre opens in Melbourne

A new $20 million neuroscience research centre has been opened at Monash University to focus on how the brain interacts with the world.

Led by Professor Gary Egan, the Centre of Excellence for Integrative Brain Function will explore biological processes in nerve cells and nerve cell electrical activity, and develop models of brain activity as well as brain-machine interfaces to uncover the fundamental principles of brain function.
