Breast cancer recurrence risk persists for decades

Women with breast cancer remain at risk of recurrence for up to 24 years following diagnosis and surgery, according to research from the International Breast Cancer Study Group.

The study followed over 4,000 women, including Australians, enrolled in five breast cancer trials from 1978 to 1985.
