Breastfeeding benefit for cancer survivors

Women who have survived childhood cancer can reduce the risk of developing later health problems from cancer treatment by breastfeeding, according to a BBC News report.

US researchers found women who had survived childhood cancer could decrease the risk of developing three major health issues commonly experienced in female cancer survivors including osteoporosis, obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and secondary cancers, particularly breast cancer.
