Breastfeeding effect on weight lasts decades

UK researchers studied data from more than 740,000 postmenopausal females who reported their height, weight, reproductive histories and other relevant factors.

Among 88% giving birth to at least one child, 70% had breastfed for a mean of 7.7 months.
The researchers found that a woman’s long-term BMI was 1% lower for every six months of breastfeeding.
