Breastfeeding linked to lower RA risk

Mothers who breastfeed may be reducing their risk of developing RA later on, according to a meta-analysis.

RA risk is decreased by 32% in mothers who breastfeed compared with those who do not, the review of six studies shows.

Until now there have been conflicting results of studies looking for a relationship between breastfeeding and RA incidence, the Chinese authors say.
