A bulking issue of epic proportions
AMONG undergraduate male students in campuses across the world, up to 90% now say they dislike their own body.
If you ask them what’s wrong with their bodies, 38% say they would like to be smaller, 27% say they would like to be bigger and only 35% are happy with their body fat.
If you look at a younger cohort of 16- to 20-year-olds, 50% are now doing something to their eating, because they’re not happy with how they look. Twenty per cent of those are dieting to the point of having episodes of reactive hyperphagia, or bulimia, and another 10% are over-exercising.
