Bullying rife in UK national health service: survey

The study of 3000 NHS staff working in primary care, secondary care and mental health trusts in the northeast of England found nearly 20% reported being bullied by colleagues, and more than 40% said they witnessed other staff being bullied.

Of those reporting bullying, 51% said the perpetrator was a manager or supervisor, and 31% said they were bullied by peers.
