Call to screen all over-70s for cognitive impairment

An international panel of experts has recommended all people over 70 be tested yearly for problems with memory and reasoning.

Convened by the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, the panel says the cognitive test should be administered by a patient’s regular healthcare provider and should take no longer than three to seven minutes.
