Cannabis and psychosis link confirmed

AUSTRALIAN researchers say they’ve uncovered the strongest evidence to date that cannabis may precipitate the onset of schizophrenia.

The first meta-analysis of studies to determine the association between psychosis and cannabis use while controlling for other substance use suggests stopping use of the drug could even prevent some mental illness episodes, the authors say.
