Chemo-induced neuropathy persists for years: study

Nearly half of women who survive cancer suffer from chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) and the symptoms can persist for years, a US study shows.

With an average of six years since diagnosis, 45% of 462 female cancer survivors reported symptoms of CIPN, according to data presented this month at ASCO’s Cancer Survivors Symposium.
