Children’s diarrhoea linked to bottled water over tap

In a study covering three hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, researchers affiliated with Oxford University, UK, found 20% of children admitted with diarrhoea were positive for NoV compared to 2.8% of controls with no diarrhoea.

Household crowding, purchase of food from outdoor markets and use of bottled water, rather than tap water, were linked to an increased risk of NoV.
