Most women want children, with on average Australian women wanting two or three. Equally, women who have a chronic illness also aspire to motherhood either for the first time or to have more children. A recent literature review reveals serious gaps in the reproductive, fertility and childbearing information provided to these women which may adversely impact their quality of life (QOL).
