Co-payments a blow for diabetes patients
With healthcare cuts to the tune of $8.6 billion last night’s budget has hit hard, but diabetes patients may be one group who feel the biggest blow.
Much of the pain is centred around the highly controversial co-payment model which is set to be implemented from 1 July 2015.
The measure will see MBS rebates reduced by $5 and general practice patients charged a co-payment of $7.
