Cochrane review flawed on salt and BP: experts

THE public has been seriously misled about salt and cardiovascular risk due to a flawed Cochrane review, UK preventive medicine experts say.

In a Lancet commentary, the anti-salt campaigners disputed inclusion of a trial in which patients with salt and water depletion due to diuretics were randomised to further reduced salt intake.
